We built Salience because some of the most useful data in search has been sitting there largely ignored: server logs.
For years, we’ve used log files in technical SEO to understand what Googlebot is actually doing, what it crawls, what it ignores, where it hits errors, and how often it comes back. With AI crawlers now in the mix, that data has become even more valuable.
The problem is that server log analysis has traditionally been painful. Huge files, awkward exports, expensive tooling, and dashboards designed more for infrastructure teams than marketers.
Salience is our attempt to make server logs feel more like analytics.
Connect your site, including Shopify, Cloudflare, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and you can see search engines, AI crawlers, scrapers and real users hitting your site in real time.
We’re especially interested in helping teams understand what is happening beyond rankings and prompt tracking, using first-party data from their own infrastructure.
This is still early and we’re actively building based on feedback. If you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear what feels useful, what’s confusing, and what you think we should build next.
