CHARLOTTE, N.C. β Ahead of the 2025 MLS season, Charlotte FC launched its new secondary kit, paying tribute to the supporters who have been behind the club since its inception.
The Fortress Kit was inspired by the traditions and on-field visuals seen at home matches, including the coronation motifs through crown designs. The Adidas kit also dons an alternative crest with CLTFC branding.Β
“We are so lucky to have one of the best fan experiences in the league so we wanted to bring that forward. It was really important that some of our matchday traditions showed up in this kit,” Charlotte FC Vice President of Business Operations Natalee Jarrett said. The crown pattern that you’ll see embossed on the kit is from our coronation moment from pre-match. It also is for our Man of the Match moment after the match.”
Charlotte FC began playing in MLS in 2022 but Bank of America Stadium has become a hostile environment for opposing teams to play in due to the passion of the supporters. Even with the club’s short history, Charlotte FC believed they wanted to reflect the fans’ impact in their newest kit design.
“Before we even played our first match, [fans] were ready to support so we want to give that attitude back to them to continue on that path,” said Jarrett. “I think having the inspiration from the last few seasons and coming off our most successful one recently, we can continue to build the fanbase and grow our brand awareness. The fan part is so important.”
Season ticket members had the chance to purchase the new kits at a launch party on Wednesday night. Charlotte FC opens its season on the road on February 22 and will return to face Atlanta United on March 1 for their home opener.
