After two wins in their backyard in Raleigh, the Duke Blue Devils’ run to the National Title continues here in the Brick City.Β
In 2025, the Blue Devils are making their 47th tournament appearance all-time, and their 28th in the last 30 years. The two seasons they were not a part of the field, 1995 and 2021.
2025 also marks the 15th time Duke was selected as a number one seed. After their 23-point win over #9 Baylor in the round of 32, Duke is headed to the program’s 34th Sweet 16, which includes three of the last four years.Β
Head Coach John Scheyer, in only his third season, is ready for his second Sweet 16 appearance. As the program looks to add to its already legendary resume, which includes 25 trips to the Elite 8 Β and 17 stops to the Final Four.
Now, from the past to the present. This Duke team has dominated opponents all season long. The Blue Devils’ record sits at 33-3 ahead of their Sweet 16 battle with Arizona. They’ve won 26 of those 33 games by double figures.Β
One of the main reasons for the Blue Devils’ impressive record is that they have one of the tallest lineups in college basketball history. Their shortest starter is guard Sion James who measures in at 6’6″.Β
