Charlotte Sports Foundation executive director Danny Morrison confirmed the news in an announcement Wednesday morning. A reason for why the college basketball showcase wouldn’t return wasn’t given.
“The Jumpman Invitational presented by Novant Health was always more than just basketball; it was founded around creating impactful experiences, fostering strong connections, and leaving a lasting positive legacy for the players and the community,” said Morrison. “We are incredibly proud of what the Charlotte Sports Foundation, Jordan Brand, the schools, ESPN Events, Novant Health and all of our partners accomplished in these three years, and while this chapter is closing, we’re excited to see where the momentum continues to carry the game of basketball in Charlotte.”
The 2024 Jumpman Invitational saw Florida hold off UNC for a 90-84 win in men’s basketball. The women’s teams for both schools also competed, along with men’s and women’s teams for both Michigan and Oklahoma.
