RALEIGH, N.C. โ The menโs basketball coach at North Carolina State University will not be returning.
Kevin Keatts, the coach, was relieved of his duties, according to NC Stateโs McMurray Family Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. The decision is effective immediately.
โI want to thank Coach Keatts for his contributions to NC State and for always representing the university with class,โ said Corrigan. โHe will always have a treasured place in Wolfpack history for the accomplishments of his 2023-24 squad and I appreciate the passion he brought to this role. We wish him and his family the best in the future.โ
He recently completed his eighth season at NC State and led his teams to three NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure.
A national search for the universityโs next head coach will begin immediately, according to a press release.
