In October 2023, Harvick purchased the mansion used in the movie Talladega Nights near Lake Norman.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. β Former NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick sold his Lake Norman mansion for more than $9 million, over a year after purchasing the property made famous by the movie “Talladega Nights.”
The home was sold on Tuesday for $9.825 million, according to Mecklenburg County property records. It was originally listed for over $12 million.
Realtor Heather Gibbs described the transaction as “seamless,” praising the property’s unique qualities and the sellers’ meticulous attention to detail.
Harvick and DeLana Harvick, his wife, bought the mansion in 2014.
The property is located on 4.4 acres near Charlotte’s South Park area. The home features an arcade, a golf simulator, a gym, a pool house, and much more.
“The first time I walked through this home, I was blown away by the quality, attention to detail, and patience it took my sellers to slowly build an estate of a lifetime,” Gibbs said.
Harvick bought the Cornelius “Talladega Nights” home in October 2023 for $6.75 million. The six-bedroom, 12,042-square-foot mansion, known for its appearance in the Will Ferrell comedy, was originally listed for $9.9 million.
Harvick won 60 races in the NASCAR Cup Series during his career, which spanned from 2001 to 2023. The California native won the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series championship, as well as the 2001 and 2006 titles in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
After retiring in 2023, Harvick became an analyst with Fox Sports, covering NASCAR races.
