Each week, we quiz a prominent person about their style and the inspiration behind it. Ahead, TV personality Sofia Levin.

How would you describe your style? Is βweekend brunchβ a style? I swear by a jumpsuit or pants, often with a headscarf. When I dress up, I prefer something tailored and timeless.
Whatβs the oldest thing in your wardrobe? A 1980s sleeveless top and skirt set in gelato-toned gingham that belonged to my mum.
And the most recent addition? A couple of weeks ago I went to the grocer to buy anchovies and returned home with a bright pink, orange and blue long-sleeved mini dress from the Bul outlet [in Melbourne].
What would you wear β¦ on a first date? My favourite burnt-orange wrap pants that I bought in Sicilyβs Palermo, with a black singlet, headscarf and wedged sandals. β¦ on a plane? Alpha60 silk pants with a tee and my heaviest coat and shoes, so they donβt count towards my baggage allowance. β¦ on the red carpet? Something classic by AlkByLekal, or something bright, bold and feminine by Leo Lin.

Whatβs your favourite fashion era? I love the liberal, vibrant and feminine outfits of the β70s: short skirts, long boots, flowing tie-tops, bell-sleeve mini dresses, overalls and jumpsuits. They stand out in a way that still feels empowering today.
Who are your favourite designers? I like Bul for the tailored cuts and colour palettes, Alpha60 for some βMelbourne coolβ, Diida, who I lean on heavily when hosting events, The Only Label for its retro style and affordability, and Yevu for their celebratory Ghana prints. Overseas, Iβm drawn to local designers in the places I visit, such as Avaliani: a sustainable clothing brand from Palermo.
Whatβs your fragrance of choice? Iβve worn Frapin β1270β³ since 2012. Itβs got a beautiful amber warmness and honeyed tonka bean richness.
