The “Hoopers Paradise” colorway honors Queen Charlotte and celebrates the Carolinas’ basketball culture.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. β The Charlotte Hornets unveiled their 2025-26 Nike NBA City Edition Remix uniform Tuesday, featuring a bold orange, blue and yellow colorway inspired by the Bird of Paradise flower.
The uniform reimagines the “mixtape” design first worn during the 2021-22 season as part of the NBA’s league-wide initiative to bring back or remix previous City Edition styles. The color scheme pays homage to the Bird of Paradise flower, named for Queen Charlotte, representing what the franchise calls the Carolinas’ status as a “Hoopers Paradise.”
The launch includes a creative campaign featuring players LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller and Grant Williams, with a video narrated by legendary Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski.
“From the very beginning, our uniforms have been bold, fashionable, and distinct, and this year’s uniform is no different,” Seth Bennett, chief marketing officer for Hornets Sports & Entertainment, said. “Hoopers Paradise pays tribute to the culture, courts and fans who live and breathe basketball across the Carolinas.”
Design details
The uniform blends elements from throughout franchise history, dating to the inaugural 1988-89 season through the return of the Hornets name in 2014.
The jersey features a script “Charlotte” wordmark on the front, first seen on the 2021-22 City Edition uniform. The script design references pennants displayed when the original Hornets uniforms debuted in 1988. Numbers appear in the current Hornets font, while player names use the classic font. The front number is right-justified, similar to Bobcats uniforms from 2004-09 and 2012-14.
An “EST. 1988” detail appears on the bottom right front, acknowledging the franchise’s founding.
The shorts feature a classic Hornets logo on one leg and a script “Hornets” wordmark on the other. The waistband includes an “H” logo with “Buzz City” written across it, nodding to the secondary logo from the original 1988 uniforms.
The jersey includes the Jumpman logo of Nike Inc.’s Jordan Brand on the right chest and the logo of Judi Health, the team’s official jersey patch partner, on the left chest.

The Hornets will wear the City Edition Remix uniform for 12 home games at Spectrum Center, beginning Saturday, Nov. 15, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
