HENRY COUNTY, Ga. β The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Dr. Shaquille O’Neal to Chief of Community Relations.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, this promotion expands a nationally-recognized community-partnership model, which is grounded in visibility, service, and trust.Β
Over the past several years, Dr. O’Neal’s leadership as Director of Community Relations has helped increase Henry County’s community-first approach by spearheading hundreds of community events, tens of thousands of meals and gifts distributed to local families, and tens of thousands of documented community interactions.Β
This announcement reflects the Sheriff’s Office belief that public safety begins with public trust – and that strong, consistent relationships between law enforcement and the community are essential to prevention, cooperation, and effective public safety outcomes.
