Curry joined the Hornets in the 1988 expansion draft and spent a decade with Charlotte’s NBA team. Curry is second in points in franchise history and holds the record for most 3-point shots made by any Hornets player. Curry has been a broadcaster for the team since 2009, a job he still holds today with FanDuel Sports Network.Β
During his time on Charlotte’s roster, Curry won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 1994 and helped the Hornets reach the playoffs four times. Curry’s 701 games with Charlotte are also the most in team history, followed by Muggsy Bogues, Kemba Walker, Cody Zeller and Miles Bridges.Β
Curry is the father of NBA players Steph Curry and Seth Curry, both of whom currently play for the Golden State Warriors. Both of Curry’s sons attended Charlotte Christian School.Β
