CHARLOTTE, N.C. β AΒ brawlΒ erupted on the court at the Spectrum Center Monday night as theΒ Charlotte Hornets hosted the Detroit Pistons.
WCNC Charlotte sports director Nick Carboni andΒ sports reporter Danielle Stein captured video of the fight, which saw players from both benches engaged. At one point, a Hornets player is seen striking a Pistons player. Reporting from Yahoo Sports indicates that Charlotte’s Moussa DiabatΓ© and Detroit’s Jalen Duren got into the initial brawl, with Miles Bridges and Isaiah Stewart joining in as the benches cleared. All four players were ejected from the game.Β
Carboni shared the video on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Carboni later posted that officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police DepartmentΒ positioned themselves between the locker rooms for both teams. Both locker rooms are close to each other. Stein later noted that Hornets head coach Charles Lee was ejected as well.
