This year, FanDuel offered customers to make a free pick on whether Peyton or Eli Manning would win the live field goal competition at Super Bowl 59.
NEW ORLEANS β Millions will be tuning in to the 2025 Super BowlΒ to see if their bets come to fruition, but for some the wagering began hoursΒ before kickoffΒ during the pre-game show.Β
For the third consecutive year, FanDuel hosted its “Kick of Destiny” Super Bowl campaign. This time around, it was brother vs. brother as Peyton Manning and Eli Manning competed head-to-head in a field goal kicking competition in New Orleans.Β
FanDuel offered its customers a free pick on which of the two-time Super Bowl champions would win, with those who picked correctly winning an equal share of $10 million in Bonus Bets.Β
Who won the FanDuel Kick of Destiny?
The 2025 installment of the “Kick of Destiny” began with each Manning attempting a 30-yard field goal. Eli had won the coin toss and let Peyton kick first, saying he wanted a “walk of victory” after his brother missed first.Β
Because there was no winner after the initial kicks, the Mannings moved 5 yards closer.
While Peyton hit the ball off the upright from 20 yards out, Eli Manning kicked the ball directly through the center of the field goal and won.
In case you missed the live kick during the 3 p.m. Eastern hour of FOX’s Super Bowl pregame show, FanDuel will have two Super Bowl commercials about the result during the game.Β
What happened in FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny” previously?
The first two installments of the “Kick of Destiny” featured NFL legend and former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski attempting just one 25-yard field goal.Β
Unfortunately, the four-time Super Bowl champion missed both kicks in 2023Β and 2024. Gronkowski is part of FOX’s lineup for its NFL pregame coverage, which could explain why he didn’t get a chance to see if third time would be the charm in 2025.Β
