CHARLOTTE, N.C. β A cooling system failure forced driver and team owner Brad Keselowski to receive medical attention following the NASCAR race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Keselowski was treated and released at the track’s infield care center after his 15th place finish in the race. He was taken on a stretcher to the medical facility and received IV fluids, according to Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, the team Keselowski co-owns and drives for.
“Can confirm he is feeling much better now,” the team posted on social media.
The team noted a cool suit failure caused Keselowski’s condition. Β
Temperatures in Austin were near 80 degrees on Sunday with the racing surface’s temperature hovering around 100 degrees, according to race day coverage.Β
Keselowski is in his 16th full-time Cup Series season. He won the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series championship and has 34 race wins, most recently at Darlington in May 2024.Β
