The 2025 Pop Warner Super Bowl will be hosted at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, organizers said.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. β Get ready, Charlotte! The Pop Warner Super Bowl is coming to the Queen City in 2025 and 2026.Β
Pop Warner Little Scholars announced Tuesday that it’s bringing its Super Bowl and Cheer & Dance Nationals to Charlotte. It’s the first time since 1995 that the events won’t be held in Orlando, Florida. They’ll be hosted at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews from Dec. 6-13, 2025, with the top youth football teams from across the country competing for the national championship.Β
This state-of-the-art facility features nine synthetic turf, multipurpose lighted fields, two natural grass fields, and a 4,300-seat stadium with natural grass, lights, and a video board. Meanwhile, the Pop Warner Cheer & Dance Nationals will be held from Dec. 8-11 at the Charlotte Convention Center, a 600,000 square-foot venue located downtown, close to hotels, attractions, dining and entertainment.
Adding to the excitement, Pop Warner will introduce a new flag football tournament during the Super Bowl week, bringing together top flag teams from across the country.

FCS, which has partnered with Pop Warner for the past five seasons in Orlando, will continue to organize and manage the events in Charlotte. Steve Hogan, FCS CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the move, highlighting the city’s energetic sports community and the opportunity to collaborate with local partners.
More details about the championships, including the new flag football event, will be announced later this year. The dates for the 2026 championships will be revealed next year. Each year, the Pop Warner Super Bowl and Cheer & Dance Nationals bring together 10,000 student-athletes and their families from across the country, and Charlotte promises to offer an exciting backdrop for this prestigious national competition.
