Earnhardt docuseries brings NASCAR legacy to Prime Video

CHARLOTTE, N.C. β€” Hollywood came to Charlotte on Thursday night as a huge movie premiere was held in Camp North End.

But there’s nowhere else the world premiere of “Earnhardt,” could be held.

Prime Video’s four-part docuseries on the late, great Dale Earnhardt dropped on Thursday with the first two episodes.

NASCAR royalty walked the red carpet at The Revery in Charlotte, including Earnhardt’s children, Dale Jr., and Kelley Earnhardt Miller.

The series promises a new look at Earnhardt off the track, including the family dynamic.

“For decades there was a bit of keeping all that to yourself. His friends were reluctant to share stories out of respect,” Dale Jr., said. “Everybody felt comfortable to open up and share some new stories and new perspective.”

Several Hollywood A-listers were involved with the project, including famous director, Ron Howard.

“I don’t know if Dale and I ever talked about doing a project like this,” Kelley said. “We were approaced by Imagine and the Ron Howard team. Credibility right away with those names.”
