Legendary hairstylist and owner of Sydneyβs Headcase Hair, John Pulitano, has just launched a $750, 90-minute hair service called the Texture Edit for the cityβs most luxe locks. His take on this high-end experience: βYouβre getting a bespoke and comprehensive consultation that is completely led by me. A client in my chair never makes a decision.β
This is no ordinary trim; Pulitano says the treatment is aimed at clients seeking to transform their look. βThis isnβt just a haircut, itβs a full experience,β he says. βFrom the moment you sit in my chair, itβs about unlocking your hairβs full potential through a bespoke approach. Youβre not paying for time or trend, youβre investing in transformation, longevity and personal confidence.β

So, what does the Texture Edit entail? βIt begins with a deep-dive consultation where I assess your features, lifestyle and personal style,β Pulitano says. βFrom there, you receive a full scalp analysis, a hair βfacialβ, and my textured cutting technique, which gives shape and movement that lasts for three months.β Even though that works out at $250 a month, the service has a six-month waiting list.
For the ultimate in massage luxury, the six-handed body massage at Sydneyβs Venustus ($1059) involves three therapists massaging in sync for 2Β½ hours of bliss so unadulterated it will help you forget the steep price. According to the salonβs website, βOur intention is for the nervous system to be relieved the moment someone enters. This is why an unusual but method-based mix of glass, precious metal and natural fibres are interlaid in our [beauty] pods β¦ Itβs how we design our treatments, too. A magic alchemy response to our clientsβ needs for nourishment and rest.β
When it comes to bespoke facials, Liberty Belle in Melbourneβs Toorak combines luxury with efficacy. Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Chris Moss β who works closely with his wife and chief executive Andrea Moss, formerly one of the Real Housewives of Melbourne β has a devotion to both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments and skincare for his patients.
Liberty Belleβs Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment (from $1200) helps skin to heal using concentrated injections of your own platelets, cells in the blood that help it coagulate. A small blood sample is taken and processed in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich plasma. This concentrated PRP is then injected back into the targeted areas to boost the production of collagen and elastin, help soften fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture. This treatment works particularly well around the eyes and along the neckline.

How often should I get a dental check-up?
Every six months is recommended for a professional clean and scrape to get rid of plaque build-up and to check for any signs of decay. This is the best way to maintain good oral health. Try Smile Solutions, Melbourne, and Pitt Street Dental Care, Sydney.
