INDIANAPOLIS β€” Start your engines!

In honor of racing season, Oscar Mayer is throwing their hat in the game on Carb Day, Friday, May, 23, with the inaugural “Wienie 500.”Β

The famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles will compete in a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time ever.Β

The Wienie 500 will mark the first β€œmeat-up” of all six Wienermobiles in over a decade, officials said.Β

According to IMS, each Wienermobile will represent a different regional dog, including the Chi Dog (Midwest), New York Dog (East), Slaw Dog (Southeast), Sonoran Dog (Southwest), Chili Dog (South) and Seattle Dog (Northwest).Β

Each driver will have a custom Hotdogger racing suit and the winner will be presented their trophy, and a hot dog, in the “Wiener’s Circle.”

β€œThe Indy 500 marks the unofficial kickoff of summer and the start of hot dog season,” said Kelsey Rice, brand communications director at Oscar Mayer. β€œAs a brand known for sparking smiles in disarmingly delightful ways, it’s only fitting that we bring a race of epic proportions to the Speedway and celebrate a timeless tradition: delicious meats and a little friendly competition to kick off a summer of wieners.”

Fans will also be able to bet on which Wienermobile they think will take the crown on DraftKings. Starting Tuesday, May 20, fans can go on DraftKings’ website to enter the free-to-play pool, and those who get the most points will win a share of the total cash prize of $10,000.
