CHARLOTTE, N.C. β After a successful inaugural year in 2024, the Charlotte Invitational premier tennis exhibitionΒ is coming back to the Queen City for a second year.
The Charlotte Sports Foundation announced the fan-favorite event’s return on Monday, touting to 2024 Charlotte Invitational champions Frances Tiafoe and Madison Keys will come back, too. They are slated to face off against two tennis superstars: Taylor Fritz and Venus Williams.
This isn’t Williams’ first time competing in Charlotte, as the tennis phenom competed against her sister Serena back in 2006.Β
βLast year validated that Charlotte is a tennis city, and weβre thrilled to build on that momentum with the return of this unparalleled event,β Charlotte Sports Foundation CEO Will Pitts said βItβs an honor to welcome fan favorites Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe to the Queen City once again, and to introduce top talents Venus Williams and Taylor Fritz to the Charlotte Invitational in what promises to be another unforgettable experience.β
The double-header is scheduled to happen on Thursday, Dec. 4 in Charlotte’s Spectrum Center. Fans can sign up for pre-sale tickets online.
Last year, more than 16,000 fans attended the Charlotte Invitational.Β
