Senators push ‘GAME’ Act to curb child-targeted gambling ads on TikTok, Instagram



Companies that break the rules could face fines of up to $100,000 per ad.

The proposal is called the Gaming Advertisement to Minors Enforcement or “GAME” Act. The bill would ban digital ads aimed at minors on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Supporters said children are especially vulnerable to gambling addiction. One recent study found that more than 1 in 3 boys between 11 and 17 reported gambling in the past year.

Lawmakers said the goal is simple: keep betting companies from hooking kids before they are old enough to understand the risks.
